Plane Lands on Highway May 2 2013Thursday, May 2nd, 2013 Authorities are investigating after a small plane landed on a Long Island highway Thursday afternoon, Suffolk police said. The plane landed on Route 231 near John Street, close to the border of Babylon and West Islip. No injuries were reported. Southbound lanes of the highway were closed to assist in the investigation.
