Three Wheel Association

Three Wheel Association

Description

Welcome to TWA (Three Wheel Association).

The Three Wheel Association was started by Harry Kraemer in 2013 for owners of all three wheelers including 3 wheel cycle cars (Morgan, Lomax, TriKing, etc), trikes, motorcycles with sidecar, ATC type 3 wheelers, bicycles, and other three wheelers. The club is open to all three wheel vehicle owners and enthusiasts.

The mission TWA Museum is to promote the history and importance of three wheel vehicles and to provide educational programs. TWA will also mentor children and encourage career opportunities in aviation and automotive fields (Wheels & Wings).

TWA was founded to preserve the history of 3 wheel vehicles. TWA will soon have a museum to house a collection of rare three wheel vehicles. The association will have a library available online and in print format to offer assistance for anyone restoring/rebuilding a three wheel vehicle.

Detailed Information
Detailed Description
TWA is dedicated to riders of 3 wheel vehicles. Below you will find useful links to other sites about 3 wheel cars, motorcycles, bicycles, etc. A little history on three wheelers. A three-wheeled wheelchair was built in the mid to late 1600s by a disabled German man, Stephan Farffler, who wanted to be able to maintain his mobility. Since he was a watch-maker, he was able to create a vehicle that was powered by hand cranks. In 1789, two French inventors developed a three-wheeled vehicle, powered by pedals. They called it the tricycle. Stephan's three wheeler is pictured here (the boxy vehicle with the hand cranks).
