Detailed Description
HMS Gladan - Swedish Naval Training Vessel. The training ships HMS GLADAN and HMS FALKEN are identical and belong to the ‘Schoonersquadron’ of the Swedish Navy. Sail training has always been of paramount importance to this navy, since 1796 with HMS ‘Diana’. In 1946 the then Swedish king ordered the construction of two new schooners, to replace the sailing ships ‘Jarramas’ and ‘Najaden’.
