1937 DKW Motorcycle

DKW (Dampf-Kraft-Wagen or "steam-powered car"). DKW introduced their first motorcycle in 1919. They were well known pioneers of 2-stroke engines, especially in competition. They had numerous victories at the Isle of Man TT and some other European races.

DKW was a German car- and motorcycle-marque. DKW was one of the four companies that formed Auto Union in 1932 and thus became an ancestor of the modern-day Audi company.
