Curtiss V-8DescriptionThe legendary Curtiss V-8 MotorcycleGlenn Curtiss: He was an avid sportsman and a bicycle racing champion by 1897. In 1898 he opened his own bicycle shop and sold his own brand of bicycles called Hercules. He had locations in Hammondsport & Bath. In 1899 he was experimenting with Thomas engines and by 1900, he built his first motorcycle with his uncle Frank Neff. By 1902 he introduced his first motorcycle called the Hercules.
