Our Market Watch section is an online searchable database and it is smart phone friendly. It was set up as a database for vehicle price data; however we have added other collectibles as well. For example, under “Make” you can search for Paul McCartney for price data related to Paul McCartney collectibles. You can also use the database to see what celebrity ownership of a vehicle does to the value. For example, under “Model” search for Trans Am, click here to view the results. You can also search the Market Watch for famous/well know collections that have sold, for example, here is the data for the Bruce Weiner Microcar Auction. And here is the data for the Lee Roy Hartung collection that sold years ago. We have also included price data from TV shows such as Jay Lenos Garage, American Pickers, and others, simply search under “Make” for Jay Lenos Garage and click on search. The database allows you to compare asking price, book value, actual sale price, etc. You can also view offers versus sale price. Click here to view offers versus sale price. The database includes aircraft, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, collectibles, avionics, engines, car parts, aircraft parts, and more.

An ebay buy it now price seen online Jan 25 2022. Super Rare 1907 Comet Motorcycle Engine Milwaukee Wisconsin Evenrude Foundry. Up for grabs is a super rare Comet motorcycle motor nice cases, cylinder ,flywheels ,piston w rings, cylinder , cam , pocket valve what you see is what you get , pictures are description ! The Comet motorcycle company started in Milwaukee Wisconsin by 2 guys who left Harley Davidson in 1906 and went to John Evenrudes foundry down the street from the Harley Davidson factory and had him cast the cases and cylinders for their Comet motorcycle. This motor is very similar to the 07 Harley motors ! They changed the cam chest a little the cylinder is almost a dead copy of the Harley cylinder , there are only a couple of these motors in existence ! And maybee 2 comet motorcycles that survived ! This is a very important part of early American motorcycle history . I have too many projects and am going to pass this along to someone that has the time to build the bike ! It’s super rare and priced accordingly ! All these parts are rare and will need some kind of restoration or repairs sold as is ! |

$11,500 |
December 2, 2011 12:45 PM AWST
On December 1, Bonhams UK held their 'Important Collectors' Motor Cars and Automobilia' auction at Mercedes-Benz World in Surrey, UK. While motorcycle offerings were thin on the ground at this auction, the one bike they did have on offer was special, and had a special story to go with it.
Motorcycle fans will already know that the famous jump from the classic movie, 'The Great Escape' was performed on a Triumph, not a German motorcycle, and that the rider was not Steve McQueen, but professional stuntman, Bud Ekins. Irrespective of that, the bike, the jump and the movie are icons that have been reproduced countless times since The Great Escape debuted in 1963.
In 2009, Peter Spowage conceived the idea of a motorcycle ride through Europe to commemorate the 50 RAF personnel executed after the actual events that inspired the movie, while also raising money for the UK-based 'Help for Heroes' charity, which supports former armed services personnel. As the ride would be going through parts of Germany made famous by the real events of The Great Escape, as well as locations used in filming of the movie, doing the ride on a bike in the style of McQueen's famous mount seemed a natural. Triumph, UK and Kent-based company Laguna Motorcycles got on board with Stowage's idea, building a special 'Great Escape Replica' around a 2011 model Triumph Bonneville T100.
The bike was modified to incorporate Hagon shock absorbers, wider handlebars, concealed indicators, modified mudguards, military drab paintwork, solo seat and Triumph performance exhaust pipes to give it the right look and sound. Wearing an appropriate 'WWII POW' licence plate, the Great Escape Replica was accompanied by six other Triumphs from the factory's current range for the ride, which was dubbed 'Great Escape 2'.
In June, 2011, the group departed on the 3,200-mile ride, which took in twelve European countries and visited significant sites, like the town of Fussen in Bavaria where McQueen's famous 'wire jump' was actually filmed. 'WWII POW' was taken to other easily recognisable settings and photographed in poses similar to those of Steve on the bike during the making of the film. It was photographed in many other historical locations, and featured on UK TV and in national newspapers and magazines.
Upon its sale at Bonhams in December, the one-off Triumph made £11,500 (AU$17,620 approx.), with all proceeds going to UK Armed Services charities. |

1982 Chrysler Sno Runner - Windsor, CO
Great condition Sno Runner that we bought years ago. Previous owner fixed it up and put a modified gokart exhaust on it and I believe a modified carb which is jetted for 5,000ft altitude, may have the better sprocket as well. Hearing from other locals that have seen it run they say it's as fast if not faster than the HP model. You can see a video of the last time it we took it out and it towed both my twins on sleds with no problem. Video: https://youtu.be/nyNFc41dPIY
Also have a brand new OEM track for it that we never installed that is included.
Only selling because my daughter is a pro motorcycle road racer at 11yrs old and 2022 season starts soon for her!

Relative humidity for classic car storage. It should be between 40% and 50%.
In this ideal world your storage area should never get above 70°F and the humidity should always be between 40% and 50%. If possible, an even lower temperature is better for your car collection. However, relative humidity should not be allowed to get too low because you can damage the leather by drying it out. >>>>>>>On Jan 15 0222 Andrew Hyman said it should be between 35 to 40 percent. |

A 2013 sale by Barrett Jackson. 1940 OLDSMOBILE SERIES 90 4 DOOR TOURING SEDAN. This is a beautiful unmolested 1940 Oldsmobile Series 90 Custom Cruiser with Hydramatic drive. It was the first GM car with this option. It has all original glass with 1951-1952 inspection stickers and a Quaker State grease sticker from May 25, 1948. The tools and jack still have instructions tied to them. This Olds shared the same body with the 1940 Cadillac. The interior is in great condition. You can still see the tape that held the body mounts on when going down the assembly line. One of the reasons this car was kept so unmolested is because it spent many years on an Oldsmobile dealer's showroom floor. 1948 |
$79,200 |
sale by Barrett Jackson in 2016. 1948 OLDSMOBILE 98 FUTURAMIC CUSTOM CONVERTIBLE. This car has undergone an extensive restoration from top to bottom. The concept behind this build was to keep the original classic lines and timeless looks of the car inside and out, yet update the drivetrain with more modern and dependable components to create a drive-anywhere, worry-free convertible. The original front suspension was removed and replaced with a new Heidts independent front suspension that also consists of power rack & pinion steering and power disc brakes. The original drivetrain was also updated with a freshly built 455 Oldsmobile V8 backed by a Turbo 400 automatic transmission. The rear axle is a Currie 9" Ford with disc brakes and a 3.25 gear ratio. The body on the car is arrow-straight with beautiful chrome and stainless, along with all new glass and weatherstripping. The new interior has been completely finished in two-tone beige leather that looks amazing. The dash has been restored with all new chrome hardware and stainless, and the air conditioning vents have been custom-fitted in the dash for a clean look. The instrument cluster has also been replaced with a Dakota Digital unit and new Painless wiring harness installed throughout the car. Other features include tilt wheel, power windows, power seat, air conditioning, custom stereo and electric wipers. The new black Haartz cloth top is also power and is fitted with a custom parade boot. A brand-new set of wide white radials have been installed on a new set of chrome wire wheels. From Bring A Trailer May 2016. This 1948 Oldsmobile Club Sedan (chassis 760 19002) presents well in a soft green (said to be a factory Lexus color) over a claimed clean, original body. Powered by a L-head inline-six and a Hydramatic transmission, it comes with original owner documents and is said to drive very well. Find it here on eBay in Pleasant Grove, Utah for $26k OBO. $2,000 |
A September 21 2019 Facebook post. My 16 year old son saved his money and bought this (hope I get this right) 1948 series 98 Futuramic deluxe club sedan for $2000. The owner had it and 30 some other old cars in a barn. My question is can anyone show me a picture or describe what the original keys look like? I can’t find anything on the internet. He believes he has them, but with all the cars he is trying to sell, he doesn’t recall what they look like. Also, we would appreciate any recommendations to car clubs that he and his dad may join or ask information from. So far we know the is the e in the Oldsmobile emblem from the trunk and the keys are missing. We do have the fender skirts, and it only has surface rust. ~ Thank you. Motorbike Engine |
1910 |
$2,250 |
A Feb 27 2017 post. I'm putting this antique Shaw motorbike engine out there for possible trade as I'm not sure what my ultimate plan is for it. Trade value around $2250. Those with serious interest please pm me and we can discuss further. I'd like to trade up or down on a bluebird frame, Robin, or other high end prewar ballooner project, in any condition. Other interests are in Motorcycle manufactured bikes, but mainly looking for a higher end prewar 26" as stated above. https://thecabe.com/forum/threads/sold-early-shaw-motor-for-sale-trade.106091/ |

Shaw |
Motorbike |
1912 |
$9,350 |
A January 2020 sale by Mecum. This fantastic 1912 Shaw is a rare all-Shaw autocycle with both the engine and frame manufactured at Stanley W. Shaw’s factory in Galesburg, Kansas. It shows the progress in the Shaw design from its earlier years, when the bolt-on fuel tank was merely a long cylinder and the engine fit only according to the size of the frame. With this purpose-built Shaw bicycle, the pedal crank assembly is integral with the bicycle crank, and the 240cc inlet-over-exhaust engine transmits power though the chain final drive. The frame is heavy-duty and built to withstand the power of the motor, which uses a magneto ignition and Shaw’s own carburetor. The engine produced 2.4 HP, which was good enough by 1912 to propel the machine to 40 MPH, which was really going, especially with just a single coaster brake on the rear wheel. Shaw sold its kits and whole motorcycles across the U.S. from 1903 to 1914, and was a very successful manufacturer of light machines. Shaw branched out to larger motorcycles in 1911 with the purchase of the Kokomo sidevalve motorcycle factory, but only around 240 of the Kokomo-Shaws were built, whereas the motor attachment and whole autocycle design sold in the thousands. Not many exist today though, making this beautiful 1912 Shaw a real rarity. See https://www.mecum.com/lots/LV0120-403738/1912-shaw-motorcycle/#_=_ |

Asking price posted on Facebook June 25 2021. FOR SALE OR TRADE!
I have a extra mint 1992 JDM RHD MR2 Turbo Model HARDTOP
White exterior
Black Interior
This car was imported from Japan years ago and is registered and titled in the USA. No hoops to jump through to get it transferred and legal in your name.
Only 54,252km (equal to 33,710 miles)
A few very tasteful mods:
Authentic Volk TE-37 Wheels (17")
Tein Coilover Kit
TCS Motorsports 85mm dual exhaust
Berk Technology Downpipe
AEM Tru boost electronic boost controller
AEM Digital Wideband kit
Momo Steering wheel w/ adapter hub
REV6 Low rise headlight kit
I posted this For sale, but I am also interested in hearing trade offers. In trade, i'm mainly looking for another VERY clean SW20 MR2 chassis (mainly white/black/SMG/tropical blue colors).
My intentions with this car were to build a nice turbocharged 2GR powered MR2. I haven't had the heart to really tear into such a nice low mileage car! I'm looking to possibly trade for an SW20 that is in VERY good condition exterior wise (great paint/great interior). I don't care much about what drivetrain is in the trade vehicle, as it will get replaced. Obviously there would need to be cash added on your end if you are trading me a car that is not worth roughly what my car is 🙂.
The outright sale price is $20,000 NOT $2,000 (facebook would not allow me to put $20,000) |

Condition: Good
Exterior: Red
Interior: Black
Seller’s Description:
Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to present this 1947 Ford Flatbed Pick up Truck! The truck appears to be mostly original and is wearing a fantastic color! The red really pops with all the black accents! Under the hood is Mr. Henry Fords Flathead V8 humming like a sewing machine and hooked to a manual transmission and a 2 speed rear end! When they say things are built like they used to this is the truck they refer to! According to our seller the dump bed does work but the chrome exhaust stack would need removed to regain that function. The condition of this truck is somewhere between a survivor and a driver. It appears to be solid and have a lot of life left to give! Here is something that is a prime candidate for a truck to enjoy as is or resto-mod to the next level! Mileage: 54,055
Transmission: Manual
Condition: Excellent
Exterior: Blue
Interior: Gray
Seller’s Description:
This is an immaculately restored 1945 Chevrolet Dump Truck. Vehicle lived most of it's life in Wisconsin with one owner, who worked on it over about 20 years. Lettering on side indicates "No5" as it was the 5th vehicle done by the individual. Won many shows throughout the area. Purchased and stored now in Alabama. Engine starts great, runs great, and comes with a spare engine in the truck bed. Paint is in great shape, no rust on the underside. Gears shift well (as well as can be expected for a 1945 Chevy), and it's a blast to drive. Gets lots of looks, fantastic vehicle for shows, photo shoots, or setting the scene at an Americana Fall Festival or Holiday Event. Available for inspection anytime, and I have tons more photos I can share. Comes with a history book put together with interviews and photos of the people involved in the restoration; digital copy and hard copy. Send an inquiry for a link to the digital copy. Thank you!
