I have no logs or airworthiness certificate. I DO have a bill of sale from the Air Force museum so registering shouldn’t be a problem. Don’t know anything about the engine, but was told it is a Chevy Vega. I have no idea. It will turn over. Looks to be missing the carb intake and prop. Looks like an older build I’m guessing and was told while listed on eBay by someone that knew the airplane it was built in the late 70’s. Wing tanks and fuselage tank. No damage other than hangar rash from storage on fairing on left gear leg, rt aileron, and left rear inbd tip of wing. All easy fix without totally recovering. Not sure what it’s covered with. Make a cash offer. I had 2 flakes on eBay then when I called them out in the relist eBay canceled the add telling me I can’t state facts about deadbeat buyers. So trying here. Storage as long as you need can be arranged once paid for in full. As can be possible delivery depending on location. |

An ebay buy it now price seen online Jan 24 2020. Year unknown. The price was $549.88 USD (down from ($579.88) and shipping was $77.69. Located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. Very cool hard to find Ice Bike. Made in Hungary. 100% mechanically sound. All original and very clean. Has 2 tears in the seat and some minor paint chipping on the underside as shown in the pictures. Normal surface pitting on the chrome etc. from being vintage, but nothing worth mentioning. Everything works smoothly. One of the nylon rear axle covers has been flattened, but is still there. All in all in exceptional, well cared for condition. Has a metal runner blade in place of the front wheel for steering, and a second runner just in front of the rear wheel. The rear wheel and its metal studded band are mounted on an adjustable spring loaded system to provide constant contact with the ice surface for propulsion purposes. Note that this is not a standard studded tire, but a perforated band held in place by the inflated rubber rear tire itself. Pretty cool and effective setup. You can see videos online of this exact same model of Hungarian bicycle in action on youtube. This is a single speed bike with coaster brake. Ice blue (appropriately), in color. Features a quick release mechanism for folding the bike in half for portability. The seat post and the handlebars are easily adjustable in height without tools. Will be partially disassembled, (handlebars and pedals), for shipping purposes. |

An ebay buy it now price seen online December 14 2019. Year unknown. The price was $649.88 USD and shipping was $77.69. Located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. Very cool hard to find Ice Bike. Made in Hungary. 100% mechanically sound. All original and very clean. Has 2 tears in the seat and some minor paint chipping on the underside as shown in the pictures. Normal surface pitting on the chrome etc. from being vintage, but nothing worth mentioning. Everything works smoothly. One of the nylon rear axle covers has been flattened, but is still there. All in all in exceptional, well cared for condition.
Has a metal runner blade in place of the front wheel for steering, and a second runner just in front of the rear wheel. The rear wheel and its metal studded band are mounted on an adjustable spring loaded system to provide constant contact with the ice surface for propulsion purposes. Note that this is not a standard studded tire, but a perforated band held in place by the inflated rubber rear tire itself.
Pretty cool and effective setup. You can see videos online of this exact same model of Hungarian bicycle in action on youtube.
This is a single speed bike with coaster brake. Ice blue (appropriately), in color.
Features a quick release mechanism for folding the bike in half for portability. The seat post and the handlebars are easily adjustable in height without tools.
Will be partially disassembled, (handlebars and pedals), for shipping purposes. |

Unlike a lot of Hex Tubes out there, this one has the correct chainguard with hex clamp and the correct rear rack, very commonly incorrect.

Handlebars, seat and pegs fold into the bike and a venting system allows bike to be laid on it's side for travel without oil/fuel spills.
Bike is powered by a 49cc oil-injected two stroke gasoline engine. It is completely road legal, with headlight, brake light, directional lights, horn, mirrors.
Low miles. Very minor frame surface rust has been painted over. Bike has not gone through, nor needs a major restoration. Starts and runs fine.
Genuine Honda shop manual included. |
