Our Market Watch section is an online searchable database and it is smart phone friendly. It was set up as a database for vehicle price data; however we have added other collectibles as well. For example, under “Make” you can search for Paul McCartney for price data related to Paul McCartney collectibles. You can also use the database to see what celebrity ownership of a vehicle does to the value. For example, under “Model” search for Trans Am, click here to view the results. You can also search the Market Watch for famous/well know collections that have sold, for example, here is the data for the Bruce Weiner Microcar Auction. And here is the data for the Lee Roy Hartung collection that sold years ago. We have also included price data from TV shows such as Jay Lenos Garage, American Pickers, and others, simply search under “Make” for Jay Lenos Garage and click on search.  The database allows you to compare asking price, book value, actual sale price, etc.  You can also view offers versus sale price.  Click here to view offers versus sale price.  The database includes aircraft, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, collectibles, avionics, engines, car parts, aircraft parts, and more.

JW Planes 172 M 1976 $84,900 N80921. Asking price seen on Controller March 28 2018. What a unique and attractive plane! The 180 Conversion paired with the Garmin GTN 650 makes this Skyhawk an IFR machine. It is the perfect plane to use for cross countries and makes it very cost effective! Ownership History: This Skyhawk has been based in Louisiana for the past 30 years. It has remained in the same hangar during all of that time. The two gentleman that we purchased the plane from had owned it for the past 6 years. They upgraded to a 182 and could not justify owning two airplanes. JW Planes 172 XP 1977 $125,000 N1444V does look nice. This is a tough one to value. I would need to know how old the avionics are. I think a price of $120,000 to $125,000 sounds about right for this one. A word of caution on this one. For avionics it has stuff made by Aspen, Garmin, L3, STEC, PS Engineering, and some more. There could be some issues with all of those different things talking to each other. Or if you have an issue with one (Garmin for example), they may say that it is an Aspen problem. It is like having a Ford engine with Chevy, Dodge, Honda, Nissan, Toyota parts all installed on the engine. There is that chance for problems down the road. Also, according to Van Bortel's site 1444V has a contract on it. N1444V. 1977 Cessna Hawk XP II. Ser#R1722192. Asking price seen on Van Bortel Feb 14 2018. 1990 TTAF and 505 SMOH.
