Aviation\/Aviators in the news<\/strong>:\u00a0In the early 1940s, the Junkers Jumo 223 engine was in the news. It was an experimental 24-cylinder aircraft engine. It had four banks of six cylinders in a rhomboid<\/a> configuration, with four crankshafts one at each vertex of the rhombus, and 48 pistons. Only one is believed to have been made. The whereabouts of the engine is unknown.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
