Profile of flight test (DPE &#8211; do not ask questions during preflight). We will start off on the cross country that you planned. After a few check points, I will give you an event to deal with. We will do the takeoffs &amp; landings. Depart for the air work. Hood work. Return to home base.<\/p>\n<p>2. Pilot in Command (Per 14 CFR \u00a7 61.47) <strong>DPE is NOT the PIC<\/strong> on the test.<\/p>\n<p><strong>I am required to evaluate you on proper use of checklist.\u00a0 Not using checklist can be grounds for a disapproval.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>3. Emergencies \u2013 actual and simulated. By FAA orders, an actual emergency stops the test.<br \/>\n\u2022 Engine failure \u2013 takeoff and landing<br \/>\n\u2022 Other emergencies<br \/>\n\u2022 Feathering<br \/>\n\u2022 500 ft hard deck for simulated engine failure<\/p>\n<p>4. Transfer of controls (if applicable)<\/p>\n<p>5. Collision avoidance (CFI applicant required to instruct)<br \/>\n\u2022 Looking for reported traffic<br \/>\n\u2022 Clearing the area before maneuvers<br \/>\n\u2022 DPE will let student know when he is looking inside the cockpit \u2013 applicant should be looking outside vice versa.<\/p>\n<p>6. First preflight \u2013 weight and balance \u2013 VFR\/IFR option<\/p>\n<p>7. Advise that oral questioning will continue \u2013 Perfection is not the standard<\/p>\n<p>8. Testing with Plan of Action will continue IAW PTS\/ACS<\/p>\n<p>9. Will continue taking notes<\/p>\n<p>10. Continue\/discontinue if task is unsatisfactory<\/p>\n<p>11. Answer any questions<br \/>\n\u2022 Application<br \/>\n\u2022 Photo\/signature ID. (Note type on FAA Form 8710-11 and return)<br \/>\n\u2022 Pilot Certificate (Verify against ID &amp; FAA Form 8710-11 and return)<\/p>\n<p>12.
