Pat & Harry<\/a> attended the all you can eat Mother’s Day breakfast at the Laytonsville Volunteer Fire Department. It was a rainy day, however the breakfast had a good turn out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harry, Pat<\/a> & Jett<\/a> hosted their annual Memorial Day cookout.\u00a0 The weather was perfect.\u00a0 Click here for pictures<\/a>.\u00a0 A good time was had by all!<\/p>\n

History Trivia:\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>5\/5\/1914:\u00a0\u00a0Erwin “Cannonball” Baker<\/a> rides his Indian from San Diego to New York in 11 days.\u00a0 This was quite a feat considering the roads of the time.\u00a0 And not to mention, the motorcycles were not reliable.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Achievements & Special Recognition:\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>Having learned to fly in the 1980s, Harry<\/a> has been slow to move over to digital charts.\u00a0 However the time has come.\u00a0 Being an old fashioned paper chart pilot, this is an achievement for Harry.<\/span><\/p>\n

It has been a very long process for Harry<\/a> to become a DPE, however the time is very near.\u00a0 Harry has his DPE checkride scheduled for June 12.\u00a0 This is a career goal that Harry set for himself back in 1983 and after being in the examiner pool for just over 19 years, it looks like he has made it!!!<\/p>\n

Car\/Motorcycle Show News:\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>Harry & Pat attended the first bike night of the season at District Harley Davidson.\u00a0 The Lomax<\/a> and Jett<\/a> were very popular.\u00a0 Click here for more pictures<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
