Kraemer Aviation\/Harry Kraemer has teamed up with Sarah McNelis of Long & Foster\u00a0Real\u00a0Estate\u00a0Inc.<\/a> to better serve our client’s real estate sales\/purchase requirements.\u00a0 Sarah has an aviation background including aircraft ownership, licensed Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) mechanic, and\u00a0taildragger pilot to name a few.\u00a0 Look for some changes to the real estate section<\/a> of the Flymall in early 2019 .\u00a0 Click on picture for a larger view.<\/p>\n

Achievements & Special Recognition<\/strong>:\u00a0 We start our Russian theme with a German aviator named Mathias Rust.\u00a0 In 1987 he gained notoriety when he illegally flew a Cessna 172 from Finland and landed in Red Square in Moscow.\u00a0 Click here for more reading on Mathias Rust<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Major announcement. The picture below was taken at the Frederick Municipal Airport sometime in the 1960s.\u00a0Harry is on the far right with\u00a0his dad in the middle.\u00a0\u00a0Harry’s dad would take him there to watch the planes take-off and land.\u00a0 Little did\u00a0Harry know then, that about 20 years later Harry would meet Annabelle (a Designated Pilot Examiner) at this very airport.\u00a0 She would inspire\u00a0him towards a very single goal in aviation, to become a Designated Pilot Examiner.\u00a0 After being in the examiner pool for the past 18 years, it has finally happened.\u00a0 The FAA has\u00a0selected Harry as the next Designated Pilot Examiner for the Baltimore FSDO.\u00a0\u00a0Harry still has a lot of training to complete.\u00a0 Harry hopes to be conducting checkrides by the spring of 2019. \u00a0To be in the examiner pool one must fly 300 hours per year just to stay qualified. That means for the last 18 years Harry has logged about 300 flight hours per year, most of which has been in single engine airplanes averaging about 100 knots.\u00a0 That means in the last 18 years\u00a0he has logged about 5400 hours or 540,000 miles.\u00a0 That means that\u00a0he could have circled the globe in a Cessna 172 just over 136 times.\u00a0\u00a0Harry also logged enough hours in the past 18 years to fly to the moon and back at Cessna 172 speeds.<\/p>\n

More with our Russian theme: Yekaterina Vasylievna Budanova, nicknamed Katya (\u041a\u0430\u0442\u044f), (6 December 1916 \u2013 19 July 1943), was a fighter pilot in the Soviet Air Force during World War II.
