Car\/Motorcycle Show News<\/strong>:\u00a0 The Flymall team <\/a>visited\u00a0The Rural Heritage Museum in early May.\u00a0 They had an entire building dedicated to transportation (cars, bicycles, motorcycles, and covered wagons).<\/p>\n

Barn Finds\/Hangar Finds:\u00a0 <\/strong>1966 Pontiac Star Chief that has been sitting in a barn for 8 years.\u00a0 It sold on eBay for $2,250.00 USD.\u00a0 The seller said that it ran when parked.\u00a0 Looked like a good deal.<\/p>\n

CFI Notes<\/strong>:\u00a0 Here are some pictures of a recent Piper Arrow crash.\u00a0 Let’s examine the pictures<\/a> and determine what could have possibly\u00a0happened.\u00a0 Notice how the tips of the propeller blades are not curled like you typically see with a prop strike.\u00a0 It appears that the pilot stalled just above the runway and the aircraft nosed in to the ground “nose first”.\u00a0 From looking at the propeller blades it looks like once the one blade hit the ground it dug in and the rotation of the blades stopped since one blade shows no sign of hitting the ground.<\/p>\n
