Aviation\/Aviators in the news<\/strong>:\u00a0 Here are some aviators in the news from WWI.\u00a0\u00a0Very little has been\u00a0written about the\u00a0forward defensive machine gun position on top of\u00a0German Zeppelins.\u00a0 Often freezing cold, always vulnerable, the defensive gunners occupied a tiny, sunken recess on the very top of the airship, shielded from the buffeting winds only by a shallow screen and their thick leather flying suits. Just a handrail and a shallow step lay between them and a\u00a0drop over the side the Zeppelin. Their air-cooled Parabellum MG.14 machine guns did little to\u00a0scare away\u00a0their attackers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Car\/Motorcycle Show News<\/strong>:\u00a0Our Friday night Laytonsville Cruise In will slow down (attendance of classic cars) now that we set the clocks back an hour.\u00a0 However the event is all year (every Friday).\u00a0 Click here for information on the cruise in<\/a>.\u00a0 Every Friday folks start arriving around 4PM. Stop by for some good food and good company. What has become a tradition on Friday nights is celebrating birthdays at Julliano’s.\u00a0 Earlier in November we celebrated Pat’s<\/a> birthday at Julliano’s.<\/p>\n
