Ridge Farm is located 15 miles south of Penn State
The farm was established in 1778. The original family came from Ireland to settle in Pa. There are 643 acres of which 175 acres are pasture.........about 50 acres of pasture is fenced and is now used for cattle. The woods have miles of clear trails and a stocked trout stream that runs about 1 3/4 miles thru the back side of the farm alone Route 26.
There are three houses. The main house is 150 years old. It has 2400 square foot. It has had a total rebuild with a new well, fireplace, wood stove, new septic system, and new wiring. The well is over 500 ft deep and has a good flow rate and the water is perfect.
There is also a barn and small equipment shed with a back up generator
There is also a fenced dog run.
The guest cabin was built in 2003 and is 2400 square foot. It has 4 floors, equipment shed with back up generator, two wood stoves and central air and heat. The well is 500 foot with perfect water.
The caretaker house is 800 square foot. It has central air, new washer and dryer, new stove, new refrigerator, and a new well which is also over 500 ft deep with perfect water.
There are two large equipment buildings with 200 amp service. The air strip is 1250 foot long and is clear on both ends.
There is also a pilot’s cabin and a 60x60 hanger with 200 amp service. The farm has great views in all directions.
